Thermbond 6P - Phosphate Bonded Refractory Kit (Dry Powder & Liquid Activator).
Flour Fine Powder mixes quickly to make a fine-grained, smooth, easily spread refractory that sets VERY FAST and can be brought into service almost immediately.
Working time is short, near 5 minutes before 6P begins hardening, so apply it quickly or in small batches.
A new generation Phosphate Bonded 2-component Refractory, it will adhere to almost any old refractory, making it very versatile.
While Alien skin 90 has a higher abrasion resistance and Alumina content and grains up to that of pickling salt, the fine powder base of P6 creates a smooth coating. P6 is Versatile, allowing a near immediate return to service.
RescoBond 3000 (or 3000G) is another phosphate-bonded product and is a more economical option for Thicker repairs, containing aggregates extending to at least 3/16" thick.
One of the photos below displays its hard & smooth resurfacing of a chipped insulating firebrick, allowing its immediate return to service, with rigid adhesion. 6P can also be applied in thick applications when immediate service or its other qualities are required.
