WINTER: Liquid propane can freeze when too much vapor is pulled from the tank too fast, a problem amplified in cooler weather.
Your 20 lb tank can increase from 150 psi at room temp and go to near 300 psi @ 35°C but at Freezing or -20 and colder the pressure can be reduced to single digits or less.
Vaporizing propane from its liquid state requires energy, which causes the process to be ENDOTHERMIC, meaning it needs energy causing the liquid propane to drop in temperature in exchange for the higher energy vapor. But once the liquid propane becomes critically cold it is said to 'freeze'. You can accumulate frost or even ice on the tank.
By drawing from two tanks instead of one, you double the available propane vapour pressure in your system, improving the performance of your forge.
Includes a Performance Regulator with 1.5 million BTU/ hr Capacity. A 200 or 300-psi tank gauge and a 30-pi delivery gauge, plus speedy ball valves to each tank and appliance.
