The popular AUSTEN EDENS 200 lb Shop Anvil designed, tested and used by Austen Eders is now made under the SCOTT Anvils Banner manufactured in Texas USA with a proprietary blend of alloyed steel poured, finished and treated to exacting specifications.
The anvil is a Traditional pattern with a Round Horn and a Squared Heel, uniquely strengthened by tapering to a thicker midline on the heel's underside, maximizes strength and clearance of stock rounding the heel (such as increased shoe clearance when working the branch of a horseshoe on the rear of the anvils table).

The corners of the table are also tapered back slightly to give added clearance when working on the horn, which is finished to tight, smooth and evenly tapering specifications.
The 1" clear Hardie hole is moved ahead slightly utilizing more of the anvils mass when working with Hardie tools, The added stability is significant. The JHM Valley Forge 130 lb anvil's second Hardie at the base of the horn is similarly benefits from a position more central to the anvil's axis. These two anvils similarly have a 5/8" rather than a typical 1/2" pritchel hole.
The addition of a ledge added to each side of the face is great for working at a crisp 90° angle with heel caulks, ag heels, clips etc.
