Refractory Felt ('Paper') 2,600°F (1/8" thick) & 2100°F (1/4" thick)
A uniform, lightweight, flexible refractory nonwoven matrix of Insulating Calcium, Magnesium, Silicate Fibres held in a pressed latex binder.
Low thermal conductivity. An efficient thermal transfer break between components. Shapes, Wraps and Cuts easily.
a) 1/8" THICK paper is rated to 2400°F (2372°F)..
b) 1/4" THICK paper is rated to 2100°F.
Automotive and aerospace heat shields. Oven, Stove, Appliance Gaskets.
Backup insulation for high-temperature furnaces.
Density 9-10 pcf.
Typically, the cold face of paper is ~50% of the Hot Face between 1000°F and 2000°F.
24" wide Refractory felt paper is either 1/8" or 1/4" thick and sold by the square foot (from 2' wide rolls), and by full boxes.
A one linear foot length = 2 square feet (because the rolls are 24" wide).
Note: The 1/8" and 1/4" are the same price per square foot. The 1/8" paper in stock is rated 300°F higher.
