This wheel has the versatility to cut or grind /sharpen with the dual diamond abrasives on the sides of the disc (40 grit & 80 grit sides).  The newer black MILLNER-HAUFEN 4.5" Diamond Step-Cut Off Wheel, lacks the versatility of the diamond-coated sides but it can cut about 30% faster.

• The electroplated diamond angle grinding wheel is unique in design and functionality.  It is designed to cut and grind numerous materials: ferrous metal, cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel, aluminum, tile, marble, stone, slate, cement, masonry, concrete, rebar, and more.
