The extreme asymmetrical design means the flat side of the hammer naturally falls first making it easier for forging. Tempered now so the body is softer thus taking out the concussion from your hammer blows.

This range of hammers was used by 3 out of the top 10 in the World Championships in Calgary 2014, as well as the forging champion.
