Mid-size nippers, like the ICAR Race Nippers, have a 20mm bite depth;  4 mm (20%) less than ICAR Smithy Classic nippers providing a mechanical advantage.  they are easier to close but take a smaller bite.

ICAR's 14" Mid-Size-Head Nippers have blades with a straight lower side, like the ICAR Race Track Nippers though the blades of the Mid-Sz are 6mm longer and a little better for cutting thicker walls.  The mid-size heads fit in between the Race and Classic Nippers.
