RESITECT 45W Abrasion Resistant 3000°F - Refractory Mortar

RESITECT 45W is a redi-mix 3000°F and is a very high strength, abrasion-resistant, super-duty mortar.

Like Sairset 3000, No. 36 Mortar and Vesuvius Super 3000, Resitect 45W is an air-hardening versatile Refractory Mortar.

I'm amazed at just how strong RESITECT is. The abrasion resistance it imparts with even a thin coat is legendary.

Insulating FireBricks (IFB's) are a very efficient insulator, and though being soft makes them easy to cut and even router, it also makes them easy to break.  Adding a very thin coat of mortar to IFB's imparts greater durability, though if you make it too thick it can act more like a dense firebrick and a heat sink.  BUT because Resitect is so strong, a feather light coating imparts great durability without adding bulk or weight.

It's strong enough for applications considered beyond the scope of traditional mortars.  A fine texture, it is water-soluble and easy to apply.
