The SoundHorse EquiFlex-Pak X-Soft is a premium 2-part silicone polymer hoof packing solution, ideal for farriers and horse owners seeking reliable sole and frog support. This kit includes two jars of quick-setting material, designed to be mixed in a 1:1 ratio for optimal application.
Unlike traditional urethanes, this silicone-based packing remains consistent throughout the shoeing cycle, ensuring continuous support and comfort for your horse. The X-Soft durometer 25A is perfect for sport horses, providing a balance of cushioning and firmness under a hard pad or shoe.
Application is straightforward: simply mix equal parts from each jar until the color is uniform, then apply to the hoof. The gas-permeable nature of the material allows for the gradual release of copper sulfate, promoting hoof health over time.
This product is especially suited for use with specialized shoes or pads, such as Denoix's Bonapartix or Michael Puhl's PM Wedged pads. The 3 lb kit (1.5 lbs of each part) ensures you have enough material for multiple applications.
