Forshner's Hoof Packing

The original ready-to-use hoof packing is an industry favorite because it flat-out works. Forshner's® Hoof Packing features the same great formula that horse owners and farriers have depended on for over 25 years.

Directions for Use

• Make sure the hoof is thoroughly CLEAN and DRY. Pack in around the frog. Spread layer over the sole and cover with paper.
• Apply two or three times a week. For easier application in cold weather, keep it where warm.

How to pack a hoof:

1. Make sure the hoof is clean and dry. Take a small amount of Forshner's (about the size of a golf ball) and work it in your hands until pliable.
2. Pack firmly around the frog.
3. Continue to cover the sole of the hoof completely. (Cover with paper or straw if needed.*)
4. Remove with a hoof pick before working the horse.
5. Forshner's Hoof Packing can also be covered with a pad before shoeing.
