The Anvil Brand Clip Starter utilizes the Hardy hole on an anvil to easily and consistently pull clips.

  1. Start the clip by placing the horseshoe against the starter in the grove slot in the position where the clip is to be drawn. 
  2. Drive the clip starter with a hammer as deep as the thickness of the shoe.
  3. Then draw out the metal with your hammer to form a clip.
