2300°F IFB Insulating Fire Bricks - 9" x 4.5" x 3"

An economical Lightweight IFB (Insulated Fire Brick) 9" x 4.5" x 3" thick,  rated to 2300°F Fahrenheit that can be installed in either a backing or a hot-fired application. Easy to cut.

This is a very popular and well-priced option when making heat-treating or tempering ovens.  Channels can be easily carved into the bricks for heating coils.

These bricks are much more porous, and not as mechanically strong as our high-density bricks. However, they can be stacked dry or set using SAIRSET refractory mortar.  Though they have much less of a heat sink than denser bricks, these can still be coated with ITC 100 HT and benefit from the added efficiency of ITC 100's heat reflection properties.
